If the NCAA finds Auburn innocent then my hats off to them and they are truly Champions.

If they find out Cam and the 2010 recruiting class was bought, then Auburn is a disgrace to the SEC and college football.

The AJ Green case should tell you why there is no proof of barn cheating yet. Everyone thought the NCAA was after Green for going to Miami and it turned out it was selling a jersey. The NCAA doesn't leak info and the informants don't brag about spilling their guts.

Congratulations barn, unless you had to cheat.

AT times the NCAA does leak info,
roy adams knew everything that was going on the whole time Bama was under investigation.
FBI on the other hand wont leak if it doesn't suit their purpose.

IF they are clean, congratulations to Auburn. The problem I have is w/the Newton family. If someone had verbally and journalistacally attacked my child and family the way newspaper writers & reporters have...
1. I would be calling my lawyer.
2. I would be taking a lie detector and publishing the results.
3. I would be punching someone in the mouth...

Unless what they are saying is the truth. If it is the truth, I would say nothing, I would do nothing. Then let Cam win everything he can and go pro. That way we (Cam & family) are long gone when it falls apart (ala Pete Carroll).

believe me, with FBI involved. you can not step out unscratched.
maybe they will settle down with some less hurt penalty though.

I'm thinking some kind of tax and money problem with the money exchanging hands for feds in there also.

The way its looking to me is that Cecil shopped his son to MSU, got spooked or flat out rejected by MSU, and went to the barn. Flame away, but my gut is telling me that AU is going to be found innocent.

The only thing I'm unsure of is whether or not Cam, himself, was an active participant in the MSU dealings. I think he was, but that could just be wishful thinking - at this point, there is no way of knowing.

I'd be surprised if MSU comes out of this without some sort of sanctions. We all know they've been dirty-recruiting in Basketball and now there is obvious pay-for-play discussions going on with football. Now if the football program said "hell no!" to the paying, then the sanctions will be light, but still you have that "Lack of institutional control" clauses hanging out there if these guys are classified as boosters.

In respect to the barn, I see this shaking down one of two ways:

1.) Cam is linked to the dealings with MSU and ruled ineligible - therefore causing the barn to forfeit the season, but with no other penalties or probation.
2.) Nothing is tied to Cam or the barn.

I hope I'm wrong, but thats how its looking to me. If I am wrong and the barn was a part of it and defiantly played Cam while chiznit continually tee'd off on the media and acted like they were lynching an innocent kid and a clean program......then wow.....

You'd have to give them kudos for having one mean poker-face and then wave bye-bye as they are handed the death-penalty.

That is the remotest result I can imagine. Even their higher-ups aren't expecting it. It's really a matter of trying to project just how bad it will be. Innocent Auburn?!?!

Right now, I really hope they win it all. I hope the NCAA drags their feet long enough for Cam to get the Heisman and Auburn win the NT or the SECT. Then the truth comes out which at the very least will be that Cam is ruled ineligible for the pay for play with Cecil, Rogers, and MSU.

I hate it that they beat us, but now I am going to root for them just don't tell any barners why I am rooting for them.

this....
in a way I would like for our state to win an NC again... but after seeing the way barners are all over us.. Nothing would be sweeter than for the barnyard to find out there's no Santa Claus.. and have the NC and Heisman STRIPPED.

What happens if its proven that Cecil, and possibly Cam, did what is alleged at MSU but nothing happened at Auburn? Could that still make Cam ineligible?

Here is the real deal. The NCAA is not just investigating the Cam situation. There is a ton of info being gathered, plus the NCAA deals with each situation differently. We all remember our own NCAA turmoil, and we listened to our own Administration and inside media members telling us it isn't that bad and all of this is stemming from other Schools and it will all come out in the wash. It is called "Damage Control"!! Why are Auburn fans so sure nothing has happened? Because the evidence that is on the surface tells them that it is all good on there end, just like we all thought. My statement has been and continues to be, "If Daddy had fishy dealings with MSU that were reported to the SEC office back in Jan. then common sense leads you to believe the shopping continued with AU." We will see, but thinking that the trail for AU looks cold, is just like it has always been. Deny it all!!! Then say Prove it!!!!! That is all I heard Saturday in Bryant-Denny and afterward.

Lot of smoke at the barn.

1. 2010 recruiting: A miracle class for a 5 loss team and new staff. Cam switches to barn from MSU. Dyar snubs hometown Arkansas and chooses barn. An FSU lock suddenly switches to the barn. Craig Sanders switches from Bama to the barn. These are elite players that could pick any school and all of them decide on a 5 loss Auburn. Please tell me why???

2. Cams actions: His statement was "I did nothing wrong" The Newtons attorney states, "Cam Newton neither asked or took money".

Everything is being shifted to Cecil because they all know he asked and probably got something. He signed out of the blue with the barn. duh.

3.The same group that supplied money before is still there. Lowder, Dye, MM. Do we think they became honest with Saban taking every recruit in Alabama.

I don't blame Cam. He is a good player but still a kid doing what his father asked. The barn isn't stupid and hid the money really well but kids will brag and talk and the barn will get caught.

The Auburn motto of 'All In' may come back to bite em.
The investigation may have began with 'Cam-Gate' but the tentacles are far reaching and may very well ensnare several other Auburn players.

The refusal of Auburn to 'Sit' Cam when rumors indicated there were possible problems with his eligibility may be a major factor when the punishment phase of the case kicks in. Then it sounds like a Senate hearing...
'What did you know, and when did you know it???'
This is where the 'Fecal Storm' engulfs the Auburn President, AD,
Head Football Coach, and several influential boosters...

Way down the road the NCAA will have to address the issue that was identified at the very beginning of this investigation.
If Cecil was shopping Cam to the highest bidder, what does the NCAA intend to do about it? Turning a blind eye is no longer an option.
(The option the NCAA will be forced to take is 'Follow it's own Rules and Regulations')

If the NCAA turns a blind eye to this, then the entire organization should be disbanded and destroyed.
