It's obvious that CPP isn't going to turn this team around, and into world beaters in 4 days. I dont care if we had Anthony Grant or even Dean Smith on the sidelines. It's going to take some time, some practices, and some games before CPP can get what he wants going.
Listen, I'm about as realistic as a basketball fan can be and I know a lot about this team, players and program. Hell, I didn't miss a home game in 6 years before this year. I'm not going to say that we can have a winning record or anything in SEC play, but I do think that by the time SECT time gets here, we will see what CPP really has. We'll see if he can prepare these guys for when it really counts and maybe we can make a run like UGA did last year and somehow get into the NCAAT.
What a story that would be and some great pub for the University and our basketball program. I'm hoping for something like this to happen, and I think that we have the athletes to do it, especially with the way the SEC is wide open. It's good that they went ahead and dropped the axe on CMG because we still have time to improve and make some progress.
I believe...I'm not giving up.
Roll Tide. Give 'em Hell!
