In travels around our country, I have noticed only a few collegiate license plates from other states. It is always cool to see a UA plate in some distant state. On several occasions someone has pulled beside me and given me a thumbs up and a roll tide.

I was disappointed in the number of fans traveling back from Dallas with flags, magnetic signs, and stickers on their car but with the traditional Alabama license plate. Maybe they are only committed when Alabama has a big win and not every day of the year.

Proceeds from these tags go to the University with a large part being used for scholarships. I which more people would get on board and purchase the UA tag.

I live in Georgia (with a UA plate) but I know people who don't have UA plates in-state out of fear someone will damage their car when they have to travel to "unfriendly" areas. I know I was a bit nervous parking my car in Auburn last year for the same reason.

When I lived in Knoxville I had a Bama tag on the front of my car. It was never vandalized, but I got a few comments from time to time.

So a Bama fan who doesn't buy UA tags for their vehicles isn't as dedicated to the Tide as those who do?? Sorry, bub, but I don't have to buy a UA tag to be a fan, and I sure don't need you looking down your nose at me.

I've never felt uneasy having a UA tag. Had one since age 16. Was in AU two weeks ago and was shown respect as I drove by the "dying" trees.

I had a UA tag once, and while on an overnight business trip in Georgia, it was ripped off my truck. I had to buy a replacement, plus have the tag mount area repaired where the thugs destroyed it by tearing off the tag. Sorry, I just don't buy it that I have to have a UA license plate in order to be a fan.

I was disappointed that you as a Tidefan only signed up for Tidefans back in Oct 2011.

Proceeds from the Tidefans store go to support Tidefans and the free access it provides to all Alabama families. I wish more people would get on board and view the Tidefans store so people like you could find it earlier and outfit their family with awesome stuff.

See how childish this is? ;)

I've been waiting 3 years for mine in North Carolina. I think they reached the minimum number last month so look forward to hopefully getting it soon!

I live in Pennsylvania which does not currently have an Alabama collegiate plate. Until they do, my Pennsylvania custom plate ALBAMA1 will be displayed with pride. Its always good to see some Bama fans traveling north and get a thumbs up. Roll Tide.

I try not to put anything on my car that draws attention to it. My wife has a BAMA plate and someone tried to rip it off. Plus I don't want to get a ticket from some ticked off cop that's an Aubarn fan!

I hate that my window decal, front license plate, flags, etc don't qualify me as a good enough fan. But I do have this little sticker ON my plate. Does that count?

My tag is "195ZH85"

In ancient hieroglyphics it translates too, "I'm a better 'Bama fan than you are because I have a 'Bama licence plate in ancient hieroglyphics".

I had a Michigan fan approach me before the game on Friday while I was out getting ice cream with the family because he saw my plate. Considering I'm in New Hampshire, it's pretty unusual to see "RLLTIDE", so I do get a lot of honks and thumbs ups.

I get the helping school tags which, some of that money goes to the high school that my son is in. When my son goes to Alabama for college then I will get an Alabama car tag.
