Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I'd as soon watch paint dry as the NFL. Of course I feel the same way about the NBA and MLB. It's weird, I enjoyed playing all those sports but hate watching them except for college football.
I haven't missed a Bama game in 4 or 5 years. I have watched none of the NFL playoff games so far and wont watch the Superbowl this year unless I'm invited to a party somewhere. The only NFL team I care about is the Ravens and they sucked so bad this year that they sat out the playoffs.

I get the whole "hate Manning" thing. But..............

1.) The guy your hate needs to be directed at is Phatamus Philibus.
2.) Manning is good at what he does.

As for the SB, and pretty much all of the NFL......................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Goes double for Jerruh's team. Luckily, they won't be playing in a SB any time soon.

And speaking of the SB................not keeping up with current events.............

Unless they are shown on Red Eye..........

Seems there is a Seattle player that got, well, a bit worked up, at the end of Sunday's game. And it has turned into quite the topic.

So, Red Eye showed a clip, from a year ago, when he was on ESPN, with that idiot Skipless Bayless. Anyone who can put down ol' Skippy, that well, can't be all bad. (Also seems the kid got straight A's, in HS, and went to Stanford. From Compton. Quite an accomplishment on its own.)

Back to our normal program.................including ignoring what is going on down in West Jawjuh.

Oh good grief. That was almost 20 years ago and he was an immature college kid. I still have no idea why people get so bent out of shape about him leading the band. It was one blip on a career that has been the epitome of class. I still don't see how it's different or worse than Ingram doing the dying gator chop in the 09 SEC championship. It's just petty

Supposedly he graduated from Stanford with a 3.9 GPA. He also got the taste slapped out of his mouth once by the Redskins' Trent Williams for running his mouth.

I can't stand Peyton Manning and that's one reason of many. It wasn't "class" he showed the young lady in the locker room either.

No, but it did rhyme.

Elaborate?

Peyton mooned a teammate in college in the locker room. A female trainer was working with him at the time, thought it was directed at her, and filed a complaint. However, she wasn't as young as Cullman points out, she was actually middle aged who had been with the team for years. Plus, she had a reputation of being as coarse and as dirty as most of the guys, so he thought nothing of it when he did it. (All of that coming from Peyton's biography) No excuses meant to be made there, but much worse than that is seen and heard on a daily basis in the average locker room.

To all those who still loathe Manning: I will never understand the hatred, but it's not my place to call someone out for having differing view. I was too young to see him lead the band in the mid 90's, so I am not jaded towards that bias. I have also spent the past 12 years living in Indianapolis, so he was my idol throughout my teen years. I've seen enough of what he has done here to benefit the community, his behavior as a Colt, (plus after they let him go) and the records he has set to absolutely love him. If you don't like Peyton, more power to you. However, there is a reason that he has a children's hospital here in town named after him, and it's not because of the hundreds of TD passes, it's because of the Million's he has donated not only to that hospital, but also to the entire community.

I'm not naive enough to think he's perfect. If you look, you'll find dirt on him just like almost any other celebrity in the world. However, he doesn't hide from his mistakes, but he also doesn't let them define him. In my opinion, he's one of the best all time both on the field and off, but again that is only my opinion.

As far as calling anyone with a differing view petty, I don't mean that personally or as an insult. I apologize if it ruffled any feathers. It just blows me away that some of our posters will condone much more classless behavior by our own guys, but still despise a player almost 20 years later because of the uniform he chose to wear. I guarantee had AJ led the band at any point after any of his big wins, we would still be talking about what a special moment it was. Just my opinion, now I'll shut up and leave it with a heartfelt "Go Broncos!!"

For me, it has nothing to do with him leading the band. I just have never cared for Peyton and nothing has happened during those 20 years to change my mind. I don't hate him but will not pull for him.

I graduated from Alabama in 1995 and attended the game against Tennessee that year. I wouldn't root for a orange and blue Tennessee quarterback any sooner than I would root for Scam if he was in the Superbowl. But that's one of the main reasons I don't watch pro football.

The woman AND the other player (the supposed target) each gave a different story of what happened. IIRC the school had to settle a lawsuit because of his antics.

Which means, according to tidefan’s sports logic, he is a THUG, with no CLASS. I can’t believe they let THUGS like Manning in the NFL. I’m so glad that no CLASS THUG Manning did not come to Alabama. It is clear that even though he had a good home life, his parents could not stop him from being a CLASSless THUG.

I don't have a problem with Peyton. He is a great player. That being said I will be rooting for the Seahawks. I've always kinda liked them since Alexander was there. I really like Russell Wilson as well plus Tha Monstar is on the team even though he's injured. :)

I'm only rooting for Denver because of the 3 former Gator Broncos - and none of them are named Peyton.

Seattle only has 1 former Gator on their team.

You do the math.

Even though we're talking Percy Harvin.....it's still 1 against 3.

I'm like Switzerland when it comes to Peyton. :)
