Bama Players Transferring (catch all thread)

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

Regarding Henderson, he never truly found his position at the college level. He was a highly rated in state RB but never moved up the depth chart due to a loaded backfield. He finally got the chance to shine as a WR and he made some plays, but was never consistent. Great athlete and hopefully finds a team that can use his skill sets.
Mbawke is a head scratcher. He saw a ton of playing time in the secondary and special teams as a true freshman. Like others said, it has to be $$$ because he surely would be starting next season. I had high hopes for him under Deboer and the fact he was an in state kid was even more satisfying. It's getting exhausting to keep up with the transfers and this ridiculous portal!!
I believe some one flashed some cash at Mbawke before he hit the portal

Come on Bak, really? Like all these guys care about now is themselves. On a team with 85+ other guys EVERYBODY WILL NOT START! What happened to competition and earning it instead holding a school hostage with demands?

I hate this transitional period college football is going through with money being thrown at all these high profile players but it is what it is and we traditionalist have to get used to to it as hard as it is. TBH, guys should take advantage of all the money being thrown around now since most likely a "salary cap" will be in place soon. It has stained the sport however.

You’re certainly more hopeful than I. “Soon” is a relative term. Nothing will be done “soon”, certainly not involving the NCAA. They can’t organize a one car funeral procession. The only hope is a break away entity that is essentially minor league football “branded” as universities. Even if the college Power 4 broke away today, the lawyers will keep this thing tied up in courts for years.

I’ll be an even older man caring only about what’s for dessert at the local assisted living by that time.

He’s the only reason we got Ryan Williams back. This isn’t good.

Alabama is bigger than these losers. Is your life seriously that affected by a KID that can’t see the forest for the trees??

Let the ones that want to leave, leave. It usually doesn’t end well for these guys.

Alabama is still Alabama.

Ole Miss is involved. Remember what I said about Ole Miss the other day. There was reason to why I said all of this.

I wish the kid well and There's a saying.. The grass isn't always greener at Ole Miss or anywhere else. Good new is.. We're doing the same thing to other players on another team.. just not what Ole miss is doing.
At least we know they can’t hurt us at Ole Sis. They’ve proven they can’t turn the corner.

It is sickening that we are one of the top national brands in football and are so easily poached. Last year has the excuse of coach Saban retiring. This year obviously not. I know some of these guys we maybe didn’t fight super hard to hold onto or even pushed in the direction of transfer but 5 years ago we aren’t losing Law, Haynes, Smith, and Mbakwe to the portal.
