Ty is a great QB. Too bad he is playing behind an O line that sux.

No one is denying that but you cannot sit here and say he played anywhere close to good today.

My problem with the playcalling is Grubb seems unwilling to craft a plan around the weaknesses of his personnel. I grant that it’s easier said than done. But he reminds me of O’Brien so much in that regard.

We are not what we once were talent-wise. But we are better than 21 points in this game tonight. Even with the three turnovers.

I’m not saying fire anyone. But I am saying without change in this regard, there will be no trophies for this coaching regime.

You can’t coach around a bad OL. You have to just live with it and hope they execute. Ryan Grubb is not our problem.

FSU beat the ever-loving crap out of us. We had absolutely no business losing this game to OU.

His play calling suggests he knows the run game sucks.

If a Conf Champ loss has us out of a 12 team playoff with 2 reg season losses than I give up on College Football.

It will happen at some point. Hell, FSU literally won all their games and didn’t make the playoffs. The crazy thing is…it was the right call.

He continues to run the ball...and put us behind the chains on third down...where are the quick outs? Slants? Screens? Wide pitch to the RB?....he keeps games close and seems allergic to calling kill shots

Haven’t read the entire thread so don’t know if anyone addressed this, but is anyone else beginning to get a vibe that Oklahoma is becoming the same for Alabama as Alabama is for Georgia?

Ty has not been right since Tennessee. Jam isn’t healthy. Grubb doesn’t move the chains. OU’s offense didn’t really do much. The biggest problem is our OL is simply awful.

Alabama has typically played tight early in big games. It was that way under Coach Bryant and Coach Saban. IMO, it’s because they want it so bad. But they are usually good at crunch time.

Ty is still playing well for a college QB, just not at the level he was earlier. He was often at an NFL level in both reading and throwing. Still is at times, just not as frequently. He’s the primary reason for Alabama’s success this year.

The OL is decent to good at pass pro. The RBs are responsible for some of the sacks, as well as Ty for holding the ball too long. Of course the OL is not perfect either.

With all of the positives he brings, Hill is not a plus in pass pro.

There were major running game strides made today.

The D played very well against a just above avg O. Out gained them on the ground. 212 total O.

ST were a disappointment today, after being a plus for most of the season. If Alabama wins the next two they are almost certainly in the playoff. If they can’t beat AU they don’t deserve to make the playoff anyway. Hope they do - lose most of the OL & DL from this year and all 3 ILB. Need to make hay in the portal.

The program is still trending up, especially with the recruiting.

We just aren't one of the best 4 teams this year. When Bama is playing "on" then yes we are but we are only "on our game" half the time. Bama is just as talented as any other team, but we have to be "on" every week.

Parity is the rule today. Almost every game with two decent teams is a 1 score game.

That doesn’t change the fact we doubled OU in yardage and still found a way to lose the game.

We gave up 212 yards to OU….and lost. UNBELIEVABLE

Same thing happened to Tennessee. They should have beaten them, and, frankly, so should have the barn. They’ve won three games now that they should have lost. They’re one of the luckiest teams in football.

Not sure why it can't. Our brand is way more than the domers. Everything is going towards consolidation of conferences and all it takes is us going against the grain to turn this flipping thing on its head. All of these conferences are a joke man. Why do we have to slave around with a ball and chain when we are the most watched/loved/hated program in the nation? Yea, time to break rank.

Dude watch any game this year, Grubbs play calling changes as soon as we take a lead. We had two chances after we went up 21-20 to put a drive together and his play calling was absolutely mind boggling compared to win we are down and need a score.
