Bama prospects buddy up at camp

Read that as well and that sure makes me a little happier... Hopefully we can land both of them and that would be one hell of a recruiting haul with a few others left to make this one solid class... We might not be able to get texas out of the top spot but I will take 2 #1 classes and a top 3 anyday with 2011 already looking like another top 3 class~!~

The thought that Cobbs wanted to come to our camp this weekend bad enough to arrange a last minute flight seems a good omen. The thought that he and Allen became fast friends does too. However, it may be worth noting that both have LSU and TN on their offer lists as well.

I would feel a whole lot better if at least Cobbs commits soon. Could help to sway Allen plus at least put a damper on LSU's and TN's chances with them.

I think you are right on Cobbs. He wouldn't have scrambled to get to Tuscaloosa like he did had he not really been very serious about the Tide.

Anyway, as for Allen, it's going to be either 'Bama or Clemson for him. LSU or Tennessee will not have any say in that one. I do, however, expect Tennessee to make a major run for Cobbs. Do not forget, Meachem came out of Tulsa as well.

Don't really know that he is an earth shattering prospect but I really like Allen. Looks like if he does not make it as a WR, he has plenty of potential to become a darn smart FS. It also might help us to start getting top prospects out of the Carolinas. It may be a touch worrisome that he is planning visits to UNC and Cal as well.

Did not know about Meachem being from Tulsa. Hope that was an aberration.

I don't know anything about Vogler you don't know. Apparently we'll both know Wednesday. I just can't figure why a TE from GA would prefer OK over an Alabama team where TEs are so prominently used, and which is coached by Jim McElwain. If I had a bookie I'd lay 8 to 2 or anything lower he is Tide bound.

I would bet the house that Vogler has already commited to Saban and he told him to announce it Wednesday so that Bama can get the publicity for Media days. I also think Corey Grant is announcing Thursday for the same reason.
