I'd think consideration would be made to move Earl Alexander to QB during the Spring and posssibly red-shirt Jackson in 08. Just in case of a potential transfer (like Jimmy Barnes did unexpectedly ) if McElroy wanted to transfer closer back home or even play for his old HS coach at N. Texas,

Just because the staff hasn't felt comfortable playing our backups over JP doesn't mean our situation there is hopeless. JP, GMc, and NF all have another spring and fall camp to further develop before we kick off next season.

Have to give you credit for being persistent with this non-rumor.

I do think that if Rich Rodriguez had come here, Earl Alexander (and Jimmy Johns) would have been given a good look at QB. Would have been interesting.

Is the passing ability there for EA, though?
