Buried at the bottom of this article I found an interesting bit of info about senior opinions on the young guys to watch. IMO, a player's opinion carries as much weight as any expert scout, as these guys are physically facing these players day after day. I remember talking to some outgoing seniors one year (Chad Key and a few others) and I asked them a similar question. They all had the same opinion: a young RB named Shaun Alexander was going to be one of the best ever at Alabama. I found out later they were right.
Nick Walker named Julio, Ingram, BJ Scott, Jerrell Harris, and Mark Barron. No real surprises there.

Is Matchett now on defense? I know he was recruited as a RB, but I haven't seen him in a depth chart. RJ's quote read like a defensive perspective (citing "Saban's scheme"), so I thought maybe IM had been moved to the other side of the ball with our depth at RB?"There's a lot of guys," Johnson said. "Alonzo Lawrence, Robby Green are going to be a great corners. Ivan Matchett's been looking good. The smarter you are in learning, the better you're going to be in (Saban's) scheme. It's going to come down to that with those guys."
