"Bama still hasn't been tested. Arky, Penn St & Florida were overrated." LOL!!!

This is not going to surprise anyone on this board but there are still people that continue to say we haven't "played anybody". Take the Arkansas game. Going into that game I can't tell you how many people told me "This is the week Bama will get tested". Then after the beat down in T-Town the conclusion was "Well, Arkansas was just overrated. But y'all just wait 'til y'all go to Gainesville." Well, it didn't take long into Sunday afternoon before I start getting text messages, phone calls, posts on my FB that "Uh, Florida was just overrated". I simply have to laugh. There are those who say Bama's fans are delusional but we've obviously rubbed off on a lot of others because I just can't understand how someone with any kind of football sense can watch Bama play Penn St, Arkansas and now Florida and walk away with an opinion "I don't think Bama's that good. They haven't played anybody." WOW!!!

Let 'em call us overrated all the way to the BCS title. Hell, they can call us the most overrated champion in the history of the sport, should we win it. In my estimation, this is one of the best defenses I have ever seen, and we've got a road-grater for an OL and a Heisman contender at RB. Now, the season isn't over and a lot can happen, but if anything at this point, we're underrated. And I like that just fine.

Throwing out the cupcakes, every ranked opponent that we've faced (Penn St., Arkansas, and Florida) are all 4-1 with their only loss coming to....you guessed it...Alabama....so of course...no...we haven't played anybody

same thing in '09. After we got done beating teams to a bloody pulp, some of them had trouble recovering the rest of the year. Playing against Alabama really does take a toll on the body.

I guess it depends on one's definition of "being tested". So far, none of the teams Bama has played has put up resistance sufficient to compete thru 4 quarters with this squad. If your definition of a test is a close contest or pulling out a squeaker, then no, Bama has not been tested. All this tells me is that Bama is a step ahead of most everyone else. No, Bama hasn't needed a 4th quarter comeback, or had a game decided by a single play. Tested?... maybe; dominant?... absolutely. Looking at the season thus far it would be a strong argument to say that the only teams capable of competing 4 quarters with Bama are LSU, OK, & Wisconsin. I know, I know, a lot can happen and there is much football to be played, but the fact is, if Bama plays a solid game and up to its abilities, then only a hand full of teams are capable of seriously competing. That being said, I'm certain that Saban has his team focused on Vandy and on getting better each and every week.

Good point. Also, the PSU score could have been worse. We gave them a cheap touchdown late, when our scrubs were in on D. It could have been 27-3, or much worse.

our 5 opponents have a combined record of 14-11, lswho's have a combined record of 12-12 and oklahoma's have a combined record of 9-9

so if anyone has not been tested i would say its the other 2 teams "they" say are better

I think they are just trying to get your goat. Nobody that knows anything about football can legitimately make that argument. Don't let them bait you.

It's not Alabama's fault if we make good opponents look bad. We aren't responsible for the competition.

It depends on whose standard you are looking at. Really, to say Alabama hasn't been tested is so short-sighted that you need military grade glasses along with contact lenses to get the clear picture. Bama has taken its opponents best shot and blew them out anyway. I take a a look at how Tyler Wilson torched the Aggies Saturday and against us he didn't even get to 200 yards. I take a look at a Florida team that ran all over Kentucky even worse that LSU did and against us, well, let's just say 15 yards on 29 carries won't cut it. We have been tested on all fronts and aced the tests with extra points on the bonus. We are just playing Alabama football and not the football "everyone else" wants us to play.

Alabama has 7 of the top 57 projected 2012 NFL draft picks to date (Click Here). IMO, it is likely Menzie, J. Harris and Nico Johnson could be drafted before the second round is over.

So...we have an NFL secondary, NFL linebackers, a few potential NFL D-lineman (not including all of the NFL players on the other side of the ball) and a proven head coach but others think we are an average football team??
