Bama vs. Indy in the Rose Bowl - Jan. 1

If we lose to IU, I’ll probable root ( for lack of better word) for them. They are one of the worst major Cfb programs of all time, and it’s quite a story. Oddly, think my next would be ole miss….would be too ridiculous if Pete Golding wins a national title as HC!

I hope he at least beats uga. That would make me happy.

How crazy would it be if we play ole miss for the title?

Honestly my not Alabama pick for the title is texas tech. That is who I think will win it.
Rodriguez gets a ton of love, but that whole team is really good and very balanced.

I’ll add people who never personally knew Coach Bryant referring to him as “ Bear “. I know that CNS is considered the GOAT, and justifiably so, but there’ll only be one Coach Bryant. JMOHO, of course.
I’m sure there weren’t many people who called him “Bear” to his face, but pretty much everyone referred to him as “Bear Bryant” or “The Bear” in my experience. Nobody considered it disrespectful.

This game remains me of the Notre Dame back in 2012. Most so-called experts thought Notre Dame was going to either beat Bama or give us a game.

Almost nobody thought this.

Spencer Tillman went on Tim Brando's show and all but predicted a blowout. No pundit wants to be "that" guy in case the unthinkable happens. If you watch the pregame to the 2012 Iron Bowl, Verne Lundquist actually says to Gary Danielson, "Is there any way they can be competitive in this game," it was so one-sided.

There was an Alabama podcast that toyed with the idea Notre Dame was becoming a popular pick, but they had to get ratings and arouse the Alabama natives.

Alabama started as an 11-point favorite, a huge total in national championship game and most pundits were going with 9.5.

Looks like rain for sure from Dec 31-Jan 6. I hate that for the parade and the game and all the fans. I would think the rain favors Indiana since they can run the ball better than Bama. Turnovers will be a deciding factor, especially with the rain. Glad I decided not to go to the game. I wonder how often it has rained at the parade and Rose Bowl? Not too much I'd guess.

Noted. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

All the more reason for Womack to throw everything at their run game. If we can’t stop their run game, Mendoza really won’t matter.

Absolutely. Fail to stop the run and Mendoza can just pretty much be a spectator.
Yes, and fail to stop the run and he can take some shots to capable receivers when we bring safety's up.
Going to be an interesting game for Womack to call.; especially early in the game.
I like our chances. RTR.

The weather for the game is looking pretty crappy - lots of rain in the forecast. How do we think that could impact things?

My son and I are going. I check the Pasadena forecast a few times a day and it just gets worse. According to the internet, the last time the Rose Bowl saw rain was 2006 and before that was 1955.
