Bama vs Oklahoma round 2 (Friday December 19th)

Oh man, the saltiness from my ND friends is starting to get to stratosphere level lol. I guess the new line is that the SEC deliberately jobbed them way back during the A&M game by refusing to call a hold against A&M on the TD that won the game (with the XP. Which ND missed).
It's cute that they think it's all about them.

They truly don't realize that no one cares about ND anymore - they've been irrelevant since George Michael wen to #1 with "Faith"...

If you know that reference, you probably need to take your meds. For you younguns, that means it was a LOOOOOONG time ago.

:)

But keep in mind their best defender, R Mason Thomas, should be back for this game. He did not play against us the first time and he can be an absolute game wrecker. Their defense should be even better.
Right, that's true. And it's at night at home

AND, I think one could argue that they "allowed" us to be more successful by being more aggressive, knowing it was their best chance to beat us, which inflates some of our stats/control metrics

OU's secondary is particularly vulnerable. Ty should have had 400 yards passing against them if not for drops. As it was, he had 326.

The concern I have is that we are what we are at this point. We score in the 20s. We can't convert 3rd and 2. We usually aren't turnover prone, but against Oklahoma and Georgia we were. Are we going to get that much healthier between now and the 19th and more importantly, where are we mentally? We made great strides in road games this year compared to DeBoer's first year. But now comes the toughest road test of all.

Yes, December in Norman as we are currently constituted is going to be tougher than Athens in September.

We struggle to score points in the second half of games because Grubb cannot adjust to the DC's adjustments. That's going to be the second biggest concern aside from our OL.

Frankly, I'd put it at the top. When a D is thinking they are off balance. If they have their ears back then the guys in the backfield are toast.

Nope. Don't like it.

I don't like this post at all...

This is the best path forward to championship. The game plan is there: Don't turn over the ball, keep doing what works the best.

CKD and Grubb needs to have a come to Jesus talk on how he calls the plays. TY needs to sit down and talk with Saban everyday for next two weeks, to get his mind right.

BTW: The Alabama OL coach is out. He will leave at the end of the playoff run

We had over 400 yards of offense vs OU. You are acting as if OU completely shut us down. We had a missed 30 something yard FG and a special teams turnover that led to points for them. I know those are part of the game, but OU isn't exactly the 2011 Alabama defense.
64million dollar question how much has our offense detiorated since then. Enough for a beatdown or not enough to still manage a close win
