Bama vs. Texas Tech - Go Bama!!

Top of 2nd: Giles leads off with a single off the glove of the 3rd baseman. 1 on for BAMA. Roman singles up the middle. Giles takes 3rd, and Roman heads to 2nd on the throw to 3rd. 2nd and 3rd for BAMA, no outs. Pitching change for Tech. Canady coming in. How many times will we see this today. Any time a pitcher for Tech gets in trouble, they switch them out. Vandagriff flies to deep CF. Giles scores, Roman takes 3rd, 1 down.
 
Top of 2nd continued: Taylor strikes out looking at a pitch she should have ripped. 2 down. Hawkins strikes out on a pitch up and out of the zone. Gotta lay off of that. BAMA strands a runner at 3rd, but we do get 1 on the board. 1-0 BAMA after one and a half.
 
Bottom of 2nd: Briski in the circle: Ground ball to 2b, 1 down. This umpire calls the low strike which will help Briski. Line drive base hit to LF, 1 on, 1 down for Tech. Base hit thru the left side by the pitcher that was replaced, 1st and 2nd for Tech, 1 down. Fly ball to LF, 2 down. 1st and 2nd, 2 down for Tech. Double down the RF line, run scores, now 1-1. Tech has 2nd and 3rd, 2 down. That's 3 hard hit balls this inning. Hope Briski can settle down. That was the first hit Briski has given up with runners in scoring position in the series. Fly ball to CF for the third out. We're tied at 1 after 2 complete.

Mia Williams is a kid who committed to Florida when she was 12 years, played their for 2 years, then up and left for Texas Tech. I'm assuming she left because the dollars were greener at Tech. The Texas Tech Matador Club is their official NIL program. When Tech lost to Texas in the WCWS finals last, the Tech coach decided he needed more bats, so he started pillaging programs.

She’s just the poster child for what’s wrong with NIL.

I must say I don't like the flex rule in softball. It just doesn't seem fair. In the last inning, Terry, the pitcher who was pulled for Canady got to hit as the DP. When Canady's spot came up, they used a pinch hitter. I like to see that rule go away.

Top of 3rd: White leads off with a single to LF. Young strikes out on a ball off the plate. 1 down. Wells looks at 2 good pitches to hit, then strikes out on a pitch a foot outside. 2 down. Pupillo grounds out to 2b to end our half of the inning. Man, we are back to watching pitches right down the middle go by and swinging at junk. We've got to fix that quick. Still 1-1.
 
Both Canady and Terry give you pitches to hit. We need to take better advantage.

Both of 3rd: Briski in the circle: Ground ball to 3rd, 1 down. Grounder fielded by Briski, out at 1st, 2 down. Dinger to LF, BAMA's now down 2-1. Base hit up the middle, 1 on, 2 down for Tech. K to end the inning, but Tech gets a dinger and now leads 2-1 after 3 complete. We've got to get aggressive at the plate.
 
We really gotta beat this team. All this pitcher rotating is so cheap! All that, combined with the pay 4 play stuff, and they're basically Auburn in my eyes.
 
Top of 4th continued: Tech changes pitchers again. Back to Terry. This is ridiculous to be able to do this. Roman lines out to LF, 1 down. Vandagriff grounds out, 2 down. Taylor singles to left center, 1 on for BAMA. Hawkins hits soft grounder to 3rd, she would have been safe at first. For some reason, Taylor kept running thru second base and out by 3 miles at third. I don't know what that was all about, but it took us out of potentially getting another run. But, we're tied at 2.
 
Bottom of 4th: Briski in the circle: Soft liner to SS, 1 down. 4 pitch walk by Briski. This umpire does not call the high end of the strike zone. That last pitch was a strike. 1 on for Tech. Briski's having trouble finding the zone. Has thrown 7 straight balls. Base hit up the middle, runners on 1st and 2nd for Tech, 1 down. Canady has to hit this time around. BAMA making a pitching change. Moten coming in to replace Briski.
 
Moten gets a K to start off, 1st and 2nd, 2 down for Tech. And K's Mia Williams looking to get out of the inning. Tied at 2 after 4 complete. Let's get the bats going BAMA!!!!!!!!
 
Top of the 5th: White grounds out to P, 1 down. Young flies out to deep CF, 2 down. Wells HBP, 1 on for BAMA, 2 down. Pate pinch runs. Pupillo strikes out swinging, but looked at two good pitches to hit first. Inning over. We need to call Jobu to light up the bats. Still tied at 2.
 
Bottom of 5th: Moten gets fly ball to CF, 1 down. Dribbler to the P, 2 down. Moten gives up a walk, 1 on, 2 down for Tech. I don't think this umpire behind the plate is worthy of being at the world series. His zone is way to small. Deep ball to LF, Vandagriff doesn't jump and the ball goes right over her glove for a dinger. I think the ball should have been caught. Moten gets a K to get out of the inning, but BAMA is now down 4-2 after 5 complete. If our bats don't wake up, we're playing 2 tonight.
 
Top of 6th. Accourding to the announcers, BAMA has not come back to win the world series when trailing after 5 innings. Giles flies out to RF, 1 down. Roman gets a single thru the right side, 1 on, 1 out for BAMA. Vandagriff needs to get a hit here. Instead she strikes out looking at a ball right down the middle. SMH! 2 down. Taylor hits soft liner to SS, BAMA has one more chance, but right now our bats don't look anywhere near up to the task. Tech leads 4-2 after five and a half.
 
Bottom of 6th: Moten in the circle: Gets a line out to LF, 1 down. Grounder to 1B, 2 down. Moten gets a K to end the inning. BAMA down 4-2 after 6 complete. Our last chance in this game is now. 8-9-1 coming up for BAMA.
 
Top of the 7th: Hubbard pinch hitting. Fly ball to RF, 1 down. White - ground ball to the left side, wild throw, White is safe. 1 on for BAMA. YOUNG GOES YARD TO RF, BAMA TIES IT UP AT 4!!!!!

Top of the 7th continued: Canady back in to pitch for Tech. Wells pops out to 1st base, 2 down. Pupillo, after a long at bat, hits a soft grounder to SS, and beats it out. 1 on, 2 down for BAMA. Giles grounds out to 3rd, inning over. Tied at 4 after six and a half. We need to hold them in the bottom of the 7th.
