Bama gets off to a fast start, but the Warriors are prepared as well. The first half is a battle, but Bama leads 21-17 at the half.
In the 3d quarter, the Tide calms down and starts to meld. UH never crosses midfield after the half. The Tide's DL has risen again, and this time the OL is meeting the challenge. The Tide gets the ball for the last time with just over 1 minute to play, and knows that another scoring drive is unnecessary. CMS continues the great tradition of showing how to play with class. He signals JPW, who takes a knee to end the game. Final Score: Bama 31 - UH 17

In the last game played by Bama in the Cotton bowl they faced a simular O ran by Texas Tech.the Bama game plan was perfect and the Tide wona nail biter 13-10.Hawaii does not have the talent on D that Tech had.In turn the Bama D has lost several starters.Closer than most think imo.Bama 24 Hawaii 16

The only thing I worry about is Hawaii taking an early lead and forcing us to pass more than run to play catch up. However, I can't see Hawaii being able to stop our running game. I think it's going to be a pretty close game early and then by the 4th we will own the LOS. Darby will finish with a buck fifty in yards and we will win 24-14.

The way I see this game unfolding is a 21-0 halftime lead for the Crimson Tide. Going into the 3rd quarter the smallish fat boys on the warriors team will succumb to the Indian Summer humidity prevailant in the early evenings in the deep south.As a result and some mistakes on the 2nd and 3rd team defense in crimson,the final will be 45-10.
