Even if we had come in 3rd in all of the computer polls, we still would have come in 2nd - with .0019 to spare - yeah, that is 5 Harris poll votes or 2 coaches poll votes. Close.

What is Saban's record when playing a team he's previously lost to? Wasn't it something like 14-1? I know it's a significant number. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Play it again, LSU and Alabama.

The Crimson Tide edged out Oklahoma State in the final round of voting and will play the top-ranked Tigers in the BCS national championship game on Jan. 9 in New Orleans.

It's not exactly a rematch the public was clamoring for - at least outside of Southeastern Conference territory. And it certainly will do nothing to quiet the critics of the Bowl Championship Series or the calls for a college football playoff.

But like it or not, the BCS has ensured that the SEC - home to both schools - will run its streak of national championships to six in a row.

It was until Nov. 5th when he lost to Les for the 2nd straight year.

Speaking of Christmas and this BCSNCG bowl berth, I am working on my National Championship Christmas card as I type! hehe! Can't wait to send it out, especially to all my boog friends who sent their orange and blue ones last year. Payback!!

Well, this team definitely deserves this and has earned it IMO. What a great season, only one slip up but everything else was almost perfect. I'm so glad for this defense, would have been sad if they didn't get a shot after the year they've had.

I honestly believe that all this started way back on Jan 1 when we rolled MSU. I think most people knew that if they played with that passion this season great things would happen.

Roll Tide Roll! Let's bring #14 home!
