Yeah, they are hoping that they win 5 of the 6 computer polls, which would make it very hard for Bama to win the Harris poll by a wide enough margin to get in. If they win 5 of the 6 computer polls, we would need to win the Harris poll by 53 points - which translates to getting 84 of 115 2nd place votes.

Our calculations agree. But I expect we win Harris by around 80 points.

That is assuming the rumor about the Wolfe poll is correct.

Yep. And by the way, we earned ZERO #4 votes in AP, which is much more volatile than Harris. OSU earned several.
My comfort level is currently at about 90-10 Bama/LSU.

This is exactly how it feels. I have to admit.... I think a playoff would be more palatable than this. And I've long been against a playoff.

Take it for what it's worth but tigerdroppings is reporting Harris won't be released until 7:15 because of contractual obligations with ESPN.

Waiting on AP in '78 after coaches voted USC #1 felt like this too.
