Behavior of fans after Penn/OSU game was embarrassing for the NCAA

there is a certain video circling the internet of a select few Penn State fans harassing a few OSU fans after the game. Normally I wouldn't even bring this up, and I can't post the video, for sake of not being allowed to post here any more, but its easy to find. It features 3 OSU fans being belted by beers can and beer bottles, sadly it was 2 girls and a guy(all appeared to be college students)... It was violent, as in guys running up within striking distance and hitting them in the heads with full cans of beer. And in the background, hundreds chanting a very crude chant aimed at the trio(involved the state of Ohio, and a chant made famous by some LSU fans aimed at Tebow if you catch my drift).

this type of behavior is becoming all too common... Its becoming embarrassing for college football fans everywhere. I would say "oh its only a select few" but if you watch the video, that is MORE than a "select few." It appears to be a good portion of the entire student body...

I think for visiting fans safety, the NCAA needs to step in and take more appropriate measures, its obvious the campus rent-a-cops and local police forces just aren't getting the job done.

For the sake of Bama Nation, lets all PLEASE keep our wits this Saturday after the game, win or lose... All it does is add fuel to the fire in that Alabama is not where it used to be. Class starts at home folks, remember that

I saw this too. Really over the top.

With LSU coming into town, the Saban thing, etc. I really fear anything bad happening to either sides fans.

Hopefully Bama and the TPD will bring their A-game saturday.

IMO the issue of unruly fans is isolated to a few drunk, drunk, and more drunk people! These individuals seem to go out of their way to find trouble and will normally pick on females or men with their families. It happens at the pro level and now more and more at the college level. The incident after the Georgia game was an embarassement to Bama; my fear is this weekend you will see this garbage going on from both sets of fans. Coach Bryant used to say win with class lose with class! It's a shame people don't act that way! Bottom line is... if you start drinking at 8 or 9 AM for a late afternoon kick off you unfortunately will continue seeing this garbage!

I hope that BAMA fans this weekend act like we should... With CLASS; let the LSU contigent act like a bunch of morons!

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yet another reason I wish this were an 11:30 game....less time to get stupid drunk before the game. And let's face it, you can only sneak in so much booze to the stadium.

Ummmmm this video is not work safe and probably not kid safe either. it is definitely out there. i'm not sure how the mods feel about posting it but it is on a popular college football blog site that thinks every day should be the 6th day:p_eek: i think that was obscure enough to avoid raising my point count, but people can find it if they really want to.

i would love to see the police use the video to prosecute these idiots and have them thrown out of school.

>REMOVED<

The article from the Penn State college paper now has a link to the video.
So I removed the link.

Cannot afford to get banned here at the LSU game.

From some of the posts I've been reading on the LSU message boards they have fans that are just as bad. Any time you have some one wanting to defacate on a grave marker just because the deceased individual holds some sort of importance to a rival university then you have a case of a sick individual. Someone who does not belong in normal society. These people really need prayer above all else because the thought process is beyond me. I could see very similar behavior if the Bama/LSU were in BR this year.

i would hope it would escalate above just being kicked out of school. some of those kids deserve to spend a night in jail. throwing a full beer at someone's head can do a bit of damage and goes way beyond what is acceptable behavior. i realize they are drunk college kids, but I don't see how the university and the police can let this slide.

"I don't know what can be done about it," Poole said. "People act like fools."
Interfraternity Council President Grant Miller (senior-English) also could not give additional information, but said he believes no Penn State student meant to disrespect any Ohio State student.
wow at least their PR dept is in full spin mode. BTW amazingly a fraternity seems to be the main culprits.

The only thing that is BS about that movie is the behavior of the people that are in it. I really hope that ALL the fans in T-Town this weekend will not stoop to that level...or even near it.
If they do stoop to that level, they should be expelled from the University and forced to pick up trash on the highway for months. This is not acceptable behavior at any school.
Heck, LSU fans maybe bad, but nothing like what was in that video.
LSU fans will say things to you then invite you over for drinks.

The behavior is an embarrissment to our society, period. But, instead of removing the vedio from sight (not just removing the link on this board, but everywhere), is like trying to sweep it under the rug.

Instead, letting it be viewed by as many as possible, will have more of a chance of getting a strong movement to stop this BS.

Look away, nothing to see.
