If you had to assemble a band of dead musicians who would you want ?

I am not the musical purists that a lot of you are , so I know you guys can come up with some better ones. But here is some of mine :

Lead Guitar : Jimmie Hendrix
Rythm Guitar : Who could keep up ?
Drums : John Bonham
Bass :
Horn Section : Miles Davis
Backup Vocals :
Composer :

Fill in the blanks or add yours. Have fun. When I used to hang out in bar's this was sure to start a long discussion or a few shouts or fights in some places.

That's who I was going to post (SRV) . Hendrix was innovative but he was technically a pretty poor guitarist .

I got to thinking about bass players and it's really hard to come up with great ones (who're pushing up daises anyway).

Cliff Burton from Metallica or maybe Berry Oakley from the original Allman Bros come to mind.

The Allman Brothers were tough on Bassists ....both of the musicians who came after Oakley are deceased now too.

So far,,, that's a screwed up band. If you're going to take Hendrix and one of the Vaughn boys why not take Joe Maphis, T-Bone Walker, or Gatemouth Brown? That's where they got it. Pair Miles Davis with Gene Krupa and have a drink. As devoted as I am to Zevon, genius should be attached to Freddy Mercury if modern rock is what you're looking for.
