I have three acres. One acre cleared for my house and then two acres of forest. We have tons of deer and other wildlife. I put down a pretty strong insecticide on my forest acres to keep ticks at bay. It works pretty good but we find occasional ticks on our dog about twice a year.

That describes our property pretty well. We use suppressants some but not insecticides, because of the havoc they wreak on unintended beneficial insects. We also use pyrethrins on our shoes and socks. BTW, I'm looking down at white cross-trainer Skechers which look dirty and stained, although they're pretty new. They have a cloth insert and I was unaware that it would stain cloth beyond any known removal agent. Double sticky tape around boots works pretty well also...

Rabies is as close to 100% fatal as it gets once you get to the encephalitic stage. Only a handful of survivors over the years.

Things haven't been the same at a Philadelphia-area restaurant and bar since the theft of the iconic eatery's trademark walrus penis.

The owners of famous Camden, New Jersey, cheesesteak-slinging dive bar Donkey's Place don't want the thief arrested. They simply want their priceless-to-them antique walrus penis returned in one piece, NJ.com reports.

The strange-looking penile bone — a walrus baculum or oosik, if you want to get technical — was on display at Donkey's Place along with a megalodon tooth and other interesting artifacts. The stolen walrus penis was, as the article puts it, a conversation piece popular with patrons.
