Bobby Humphrey has message for new college players

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHyW8A8iUhc]YouTube - 1987 Alabama vs. Penn State: "Unhappy Valley"[/ame]

Bobby earned the name The Cadillac of Running Backs after rushing for 220 yards against the Defending National Champions Penn St. ranked #2. He lead BAMA to a 24-13 win. The Penn St. defense gave him the name. He earned it.

He also ran for 284 yards vs Miss St., and over UT and anyone else that year.

THANK YOU BOBBY THAT 56-28 WIN WAS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES.

BAMA had the Cadillac long before Awbun. :BigA:

The offensive lines in those video clips is something I hope we can get back to with Saban here. Those lines physically were dominating Penn St and Tennessee. I wonder if we'll get to that point again?
Our line from this past year (when healthy and in-tact) was reminiscent of those days IMO. ;)

Watching those videos make me really wonder how good we could have been through the remainder of the 80s if Perkins had stayed. We really seemed to have the program running on all cylinders.

We're well on our way, brother, I really think so. The personnel is being brought in each recruiting class and the mentality/coaching is clear - punch 'em in the mouth and never relent. :mad:

Once we've got that year in and year out things will take care of themselves.

If we come out and manhandle VT on the line like we did Clemson that should answer ALOT of questions, IMO.
