Chicago 9th Ward Alderman Anthony Beale Says Illegal Immigrants Are Getting $9,000 Housing Vouchers, Food, Free Childcare & More

“Now, I've said this before. If you give me 3 meals, housing, childcare, education, a voucher for $9,000 You know what? I come to Chicago too. And that's what they're doing. They're telling people and they're sending money back to Chicago I mean, back to Venezuela to come to Chicago because they're saying, hey, the good times are rolling there.

They're taking care of everybody. Now, when we have, When we have Venezuelans that are driving cars, where did they get a driver's license? -Right. -Where did they get insurance from? And then you have Venezuelans being caught with drugs and guns.”

What a train wreck. We have homeless people including children and veterans all over our country and we don't give them this help. I would be all for doing this for veterans that are homeless and often times struggle with mental health issues that we aren't helping them with, but we do this instead. Our leaders deserve to be thrown out on their ears. A pox on all their houses for this.

Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, Texas, has become a staging ground for state forces, the epicenter of a standoff with the federal government and a stark symbol of dysfunction at the border.

But there’s another story about this park that’s far less well known than the recent legal battle over immigration enforcement in this border city.

The 47-acre park along the Rio Grande was named after a Confederate military leader who fled to Mexico in 1865 rather than surrendering to Union troops.

A Federal Emergency Management Agency case study describing the park notes that it was named for General Joseph Orville Shelby, known to some as the “undefeated rebel.”

_________

This is not a coincidence.

Should we change the name to Pancho Villa park so it’s more welcoming? 😂

Also, how is it not a coincidence? This a spot where many illegals come through. They didn’t plan the name of the park knowing that would happen and I’m pretty sure Texas didn’t say let’s go where the park is named after a second rate confederate general and try to stop border crossers. That will show them. This is some tin foil hat stuff.

So out of all the places where border crossings happen, this is the one where Abbott decides to take a stand and to talk about secession and rebellion...

and that's just pure coincidence...

yeah....

right....

Texans complain about illegal border crossings by people who don’t want to obey our laws. Isn’t that how Texas was formed to begin with?

Did you consider that it’s a major access point for illegal crossings that is on state government controlled land so they had access and legal control of the land?

This is fake moon landing level conspiracy stuff.

Has Alex Jones been made aware of this? I'm sure he has some thoughts....

Wasnt there a John Wayne movie loosely based on this story?

Keep trying.

Might as well claim that confederate monuments, rebel flags, and police beatings of black people at the time of civil rights campaigns were just coincidence. Fake moon landing conspiracy level.

Sure.

You are conflating two separate issues and wrapping it all in tin foil. The only one trying too hard here is you. Trying to tie the name of a park to the immigration issue happening at the Southern border because it’s named after a random confederate general no one outside of civil war reenactors have ever heard of. It’s a wild ride on that train of thought.
