My brother texted me that in the grand tradition of Boston sports, they played “Sweet Caroline”at the 11 minute mark when they went to a commercial at the Fenway Bowl.

He mused, “I guess 11 minutes left is the football version if you live up here of the eighth inning.”

For the record, the 8th inning would be the same - assuming the home team batted - as slightly over 10 minutes left, so about right.

I remember him pretty much throwing as hard as he could on every passing attempt.

That and he stayed in the pocket no matter what.

You’d have an easier time pulling a tree stump out of the ground with a 3-Wheeler than to get him out of that pocket.

He was a tough ole boy.

It just occurred to me that Miami vs Colorado would have been a great bowl match up. An 80s/90s throw back. Deion Sanders, Mario Cristobal both starred in that era and it was the greatest era for both schools.

I thought the Duke’s Mayo Bowl, with the watered down mayo bath for the winning HC, was my favorite novelty bowl, but the Pop Tarts bowl has replaced it. They really go all in on the theme.
