render down the 6 slices of bacon and remove from braising pan.
saute the onion in bacon dripppngs till soft and caramelized.
add the chopped cabbage and continue to saute till some color starts showing on the cabbage leaves.
add chicken stock and carrot juice, season with salt and pepper.
bring to boil, cover pot and let simmer 20 minutes or till very tender. Give pot a stir or two during cooking.
serve hot from the pot.
