We've won with less before because our players have had heart and they played as a team.
We have also lost with less, which is the position we are in now. Talent wins games. Look at USC, Texas, and yes Auburn and you see talent across the board. Why don't Southern Miss, or Memphis win more games consistently? Because they don't have the depth of talent to line up each week and win. Even Coach Superior who many argue is the best coach in college football improved USC win total by one win, because he doesn't (yet) have the talent he needs. Signing day is still several weeks away, yet some people on here are upset that a kid can't make a decision that will impact the rest of his life as quick as they like. Honestly reading the way some fans act on here, I'm not sure I would want to come to a school where the fans change thier support so quickly based upon the latest headline. I hope IF Tebow wants to go to UF there won't be a flood of postings blaming him for "playing mindgames" with us. Like he is that concerned about some people on the internet getting thier hopes up based on his decision. It is his life and he has to choose what is best for him. He has conducted himself in an examplary manner, and reflects well on his parents and upbringing. I hope he wears crimson, but if not then so be it we'll still play football next year.

I agree with your post completely.............I say get kids that bleed crimson especially if they are 3-4-5* prospects in their own right. I am just sick of letting our home state talent go elsewhere and become stars.

I'm currently of the mindset that whatever happens with either of these highly touted prospects WE in other words Bama are gonna be just fine. Our great school is moving into new ground and good things are ahead for our university. Our stadium is the most beautiful in the nation bar none and its only getting bigger, our campus is growing miraculously, all of our academic and athletic programs are reaching unchartered areas, our alumni and student base are increasing beyond all expectations ever, and our athletic facilities are now among the best anywhere not to mention future additions. The point is all sec teams had their chance when we were down at the darkest point in our history and they entirely blew it. Now that we have all 25 scholarships in our corner to offer its only a matter of time before we take names and rack up wins. You can bet these wins will produce titles because history tells you so. Barnebus, vomiteers and both drunken swamp inhabitants will soon have to get used to the mindset of returning to their typical second tier dweller status. These teams won't admit for one moment that they STILL to this day get up for our game more than any other game on their schedule but thats ok to me because this reminds us of what comes with success and we wouldn't want anything else but for them to bring their best. Fla can sweep their prospect list batting .1000 with their precious 5 star recruits ,the barn can go undefeated the next 3 years, and whoever else can brag about their outstanding depth/talent but all in all it means absolutely jack sqaut. There's no way in hades that Bama won't rise back to the top and opposers are either just extremely stupid or silently designing their escape plan because they know it's coming either way. Dubose, fraud-tease, Curry, and real soon Shula have won at least 10 games in their tenure and 3 of those seasons have come during sanctions. When our ducks are alligned/our weapons are at hand (as I've heard so many say on this board thru-out the years) we will take our rightful spot at the top of the mountain. We've been down but you can't hold us down forever and we always return because we know how to win. Oh it's coming regardless. It's all just a matter of time. It may be 2 yrs from now or 5 yrs down the road but it really doesn't matter.
All sec posers CAN'T CHANGE anything about the fact that we are Alabama and won't change the fact that the name Alabama is associated with greatness. Therefore I'm just gonna sit back support our coaching staff, our University, our current team and all upcoming men who bleed crimson enough to
join us in this road to supreme victory. Have faith and patience and just
fureakin RTR .

I agree that "talent" wins and that we need players that make plays! Great. We agree. But, I just don't see the "love affair" with this kid! He is unproven and everyone acts as if he is the second coming Jim Thorpe.

I hope that he picks a school that will benefit him later in life after football. We agree there also!

I'm not upset that he hasn't made his decision, but I am upset at the way we are "courting" him when we have players that can get the job done here in our backyard!

Out of all the LB's, I really want Spikes. Am I the only one? He looks great on film. We always hear about Odom and Smith, why not Spikes?
I haven't seen anything on Spikes lately. He had three visits in Nov and nothing after that. I have heard allot on Jones and Odem but think Jones goes to UF because of his Pops.
