Been hearing Waldrep's name for a couple of years and kept wondering why he wasn't brought up. It took literally every single starter getting hurt and having no other options for them to finally do it. He has been great and it is making the Braves organization look incompetent.

Getting Harris turned around and getting starts for a guy like Waldrep does matter. Granted it is for next season, but it is still important.

He is a 2 Pitch pitcher most of the time so a guy just has to make a 50/50 guess.

What made him so effective before was throwing 98+ with a ton of movement and maintaining it for at least 5-6 innings.

Now he's not throwing as hard and not getting as much movement and losing velocity as the game goes on.

Plus imo he's never been a good 'Pitcher' but a good 'thrower'. Even at his best he's a bit wild and wastes so many pitches.

He's either going to have to get back to his pre-injured form or actually learn how to pitch and develop a reliable 3rd and 4th pitch to be effective.
