Our approach under new hitting coach Tim Hyers is a joke. I can't remember ever watching a Braves team take as many hittable pitches early in the count as this team seems to be doing (all in the name of trying to reduce chase rate/swing and miss).

We've got the #4 ERA in the NL, the top defensive team in baseball per DRS, and most of the same offense that tied the MLB record for single season HRs just two years ago, yet we can't score runs and are currently 3 games under .500 after 53 contests.

You'd think 21 one-run games would be exciting to watch, but I don't have the same confidence in this team to come back in the 7-9th innings like I did the Braves teams from 2-3 years ago.

As of today, the only NL teams that have scored fewer runs than Atlanta are the Rockies and Pirates, who are a combined 29-82.
