Can't Prado play any IF position? If so, I can see him moving to 3B or posssibly SS. Let's be honest, Chipper needs to hang it up soon.I like the addition, but what do we do with our All Star 2nd baseman, Prado? Prado was our best offensive player last year. He needs to be in the line-up every day.

It's been said Prado will platoon at first along with playing some third and possibly even some in the outfield. I think we'll mostly see him at first and third next season. And I agree about Chipper, it's likely that Prado will eventually replace him as the everyday third baseman in all likelihood. Can't Prado play any IF position? I agree. While I hate to lose Infante, Uggla is a great pickup. This gives the braves a much better bat, and with Prado there is still plenty of flexibility in the infield. good move Mr. Wren.
I expect Freeman to push for the everyday job at 1B, if not outright earn it before the season starts. Also the Braves are looking at possibly trading for Lorenzo Cain, a young outfield prospect who's currently with the Brewers. If they get him, he would provide some insurance should Schafer and/or McClouth continue to struggle.this is a great move, and it's time for some of the youth to start making their moves up to the Show. Freeman, Schafer.....
Assuming Chipper Jones comes back healthy. Prado will probably serve as his primary backup there regardless.Prado will play LF.
