Not unexpected, the Braves announced today that they won't be bringing Andruw back. It's tough to see a guy that's been with the Braves this long go but with his declined production and his astronomical asking price (thank you Scott Boras) coupled with the financial restraints on the Braves' organization it was bound to happen. Hopefully they'll be able to get a good starting pitcher with the extra money.

Yeah, bet on the Yanks or the BoSox if A-Rod or Manny leaves...hey, bet on one of them even if A-Rod and Manny stay...

I wish he could have learned more patience at the plate...think that would have carried him a long way...gotta love how he plays with a smile all the time...

Maybe they can sign Steve Trachsel .

I don't believe there are supposed to be very many good pitchers on the FA market this time around . Any list of guys who'll be out there ?

Glavine, lol.

And we'll have Hampton back, lol.

The AJC guy thought they may be able to trade for one of the A's good pitchers.

Seriously, we don't need any Cy Young candidates, just guys who can log innings and not lose every game before we get to bat (guess that eliminates Glavine).

He still almost had 100 RBIs and was a great defensive player. Not worth 18M, but a valuable player nonetheless (at least from the 7 hole).

If he were willing to accept what he is worth (in today's market, about $12MM), he would still be a Brave. I hope that he lands on his feet somewhere, but he had better find another player-friendly manager or he will be miserable...

Andruw realy needed to find a way to stay in the ATL.Its going to be hard for him to find a team and manager that fits him like Cox and the Braves did.For that money hes not worth it to bring back.I hope the Braves get another starter to go with Hud and Smoltz.
