Has there been any serious talk of adding CNS' name to BDS or a possible rename to Bryant-Saban Stadium ?

You can't remove "Denny" from the name. There is likely no football or football isn't as big as it is without him. He saw its potential to benefit the University as a whole.

We will certainly add the name Saban to it somehow. I can see "Nick Saban Field."

I'd think the only way a university would remove a name from something would be if something scandalous about the person is discovered causing an embarrassment. To remove a name for any other reason would show terrible disrespect, so Denny will stay. I agree with those that say Saban Field is the most likely outcome.

Relax. There will be multiple things renamed Saban in Tuscaloosa about 5 minutes after he retires. You can count on a street, a building, and probably the field. At least.

I still prefer it to stay BDS. I wouldn’t mind if McFarland blvd be renamed to Saban Blvd. I could also see “Saban field”. But I think BDS is still the best name for the stadium.

Not to offend, but I've always thought X Field at Y Stadium is just plain stupid.

Just change the name to Bryant-Denny-Saban Stadium, call it BDS officially ("Live from BDS, it's Alabama vs Georgia) and be done with it.

You cannot take George Denny's name off the stadium.
You cannot take Bryant off, either.

And Saban Field at BDS is stupid. That's like saying, "Well, this guy did a lot but not as much as the guys who we named THE ENTIRE STADIUM after."

It's just plain dumb.

When I was young and attended community college, the stadium was named after one of the (if not THE) richest guy in town who was a graduate of the school.

They took it down when he got convicted of federal bank fraud charges and went to the iron hotel.
