Alabama basketball transfer Nimari Burnett has sustained an offseason knee injury. The transfer from Texas Tech was a McDonald's All-American.

I told a buddy of mine that I'm convinced that Coleman Coliseum is built on an ancient indian burial ground or something because we seem to have the worst basketball luck of any school that I know of.

Are these offseason leg injuries to Tchikou, Rojas, Gary, and now Burnett just horrendous luck, or does MBB have a S&C problem? I don't know the circumstances behind their injuries so I really am wondering. Hoping for a full recovery for Burnett - we could've used him with this season's schedule.

Rojas: Has always had bad knees
Gary: Was a freak injury on a chase down play not too long after he had been on campus
Tchikou: Also a freak play during a scrimmage, and he had barely been in the program when it happened
Burnett: Also hasn't been in our S&C program long enough for it to have been significant to have lead to an injury.

Just my opinion, from a former certified personal trainer, what we do in the program is very good, and we do stuff that focus on injury prevention, we have just had some really bad luck.
