Can we score TDs in the Red Zone?

IMHO, this has been the #1 problem we have had in the Shula era. Even last year, with our beaten up offense, we moved the ball b/n the 20s. I can think of numerous occasions where we have had 1st and goal and dont come away with a touchdown. I was trying to figure out how we won back in the Stalllings era when we usually had a dominant D and a very plain offense, which is similar to what we have now. 1.)We played field position,2.)we ran the football, and 3.)we scored opportunistic touchdowns. It seems that #3 is what has been missing from the last two teams. Just thinking back to the Auburn game, we had the ball inside the 10 three times and only scored 3(maybe 6 pts). I'm just saying that we dont know how to finish a drive off. Do you think that we will be better at that this year? I hope so.

Thi biggest thing with scoring TDs in the Red Zone is execution. This has been missing from the last two teams because of the lack of depth and injuries. There's enough space between the 20s, but in the Red Zone the field, and the defense, tightens up. It requires the offense to out-execute the defense to score. I think that this year, barring injuries, we'll have much better execution in the Red Zone.

We dang sure have the back to take it into the end zone in Darby. He has tremendous vision between the tackles and is no picnic to put on the ground either. Buit, even KD needs a little help from the O-line, we'll just have to wait and see.

No, we have to score our TD's in the END-zone, only.

I don't know of any other way. :frown:
