CB Michael Ricks commits to Bama

A standout on both sides of the ball, Ricks could play safety or wide receiver on the college level. Through 13 games as a senior and a deep run into the playoffs, Ricks had 1,000 yards rushing and 750 yards receiving. On defense, he had ten interceptions and 75 tackles. Ricks was named All-State as a Junior.

He has great size and speed, and as already posted this is a good pickup. He can always move to safety if corner doesn't work out first.

I really like the fact that Coach Shula is recruiting kids that can use their height to defend jumpball passes that Auburn and Tennessee use on us all the time. Hopefully, this size of our new DB"S will translate into a more physical preasence on the outside of the defense.
