Central-Florence in area finals

My brother is the head coach of the Girls Varsity at Central-Florence...the girls finished the regular season ranked #9 in 4A...They play #1 Deshler tonite for the 4A Area 16 girls championship. It's CHS-DHS V!

I've heard Deshler is good.
A tough team to have to face.

apparantly desheler is very very quick and loves to pressure and run it hard ... to be ranked # 1 they have to be VERY good .... Blake has told me deshler has several girls over 6 ' tall and some top - notch guards who are young . Central has a girl about 6 - 2 avg 25 pts per game and a 5 ' 5 girl averaging over 13 rebounds per game !

Central is very scrappy but it will be a long night if the guards can ' t take the pressure off their center . If the guards can hit some long shots , it could be a different game .

7 of Central ' s 9 losses have been to the # 1 or # 2 ranked team in the state at 2 , 3 , or 4A

4X to Deshler (# 1 4A )
2X to LCHS (# 1 3A - 2 relatively close games )
1X to Hatton (# 2 2A - by 2 pts )

Nevermind .
I found it .
Deshler won 53 - 48 .
Still , it was a good game for Central to only lose by five to the # 1 team isn ' t a bad thing .
