This is how I remember bowl games - as rewards to teams for their hard work. Thanks for the reminder that these kids deserve to play a game like this. They might not all offer fans a compelling game to watch on TV, but Bowl games are not for the fans - they are supposed to be for the teams - the players and coaches. Good for them.

People who want to cut back on the number of Bowls played should remember that.

Good for those guys. It is refreshing to see a team actually happy and excited about an opportunity such as this. This time of the year, it can get depressing reading all the negativity about bowl games. Things like "well who cares about the such and such bowl, it means nothing" and "who are those two teams, I've never even heard of them". Stuff like that really grinds my gears. Bowl games DO matter. Just because it isn't a playoff game doesn't mean that the game itself means nothing. Bowl games are tremendous opportunities for other things, like recruiting and such. Plus, it gives us fans one last set of games before we go into the dreaded 8-9 month period of nothing but basketball and baseball. Congrats to Central Michigan, and after seeing that video, I will be pulling for them to beat Western Kentucky in the Bahamas Bowl.

Not to mention the extra "practice" teams get during this time! People also don't like going to the NIT tourney or any other post-season other than the the Dance, but it gives your team extra practice and it can make a difference next year.

Lane Kiffin didi a great job as offensive coordinator this season, but I dont think schools will be lining up to throw thier keys to him as head coahc. He doesnt have a proven track record as a head coach, and will probably take more than one season as an OC to make them forget that.

Whenever I see something like this I think about how selfish "fans" are when it comes to post season play. Some fans are "Championship or Bust" and that is really selfish. These guys deserve it!

Thomas Robinson Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Nassau, Bahamas. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer) matches. The stadium currently has a capacity of 15,000 people, but has the ability to be expanded to hold 30,000 people.

The current system is a perfect balance for a "playoff" and the traditional bowl season, minus the committee of course . These young men will get to go on a trip of a lifetime. Good for them.
