CFN: Alabama vs Auburn Prediction: Can the Tide Finish the Job?

I hope I am wrong, but I think Auburn will come out fired up and we will be flat. The first half has been our best so they better be ready from the git go. The last two wins at Auburn were semi or maybe out right miracles. We could deflate them like Georgia did in the second half, but I will be surprised if that happens. This team can lose to any decent team and Auburn is better than their record. Alabama also has a shot to beat anybody.

I’ll take a 1 point win.

I wonder how they pick predicted scores though.

26 points for us means either 2 TDs and 4 made FG’s (lol) or 4 TDs and 2 missed XPs (he’s not that bad) or 3 TDs and 1 FG (maybe) and 1 safety.

26 is just weird number to predict contextually with our PK situation.

People like to pick scores that mean something funny happened. 26 is an unusual score in football....so lets pick it.

Might as well go 25-18.

I’m guessing it’s based on the line:
Line: Alabama -5.5, o/u: 46.5

If awwwburn comes out like they did against Uga we are in trouble. They’ve been using a lot of diff qbs the last few weeks tho so I’m hopeful while our offense will more than likely sputter all game so will theirs

They always pick a score that basically reflects the line and the O/U within the hook. It's basically set up for a 5th grader to already know their outcome it seems

God, I hope we win the toss and are able to defer. If we lose the toss and have to go on offense first I have this awful feeling that it will be a three-n-out.

In terms of personnel, this Auburn team reminds me of South Carolina as far as teams we’ve faced this season. Athletic QB, questionable offensive line, underutilized skill players, a nasty defensive line and a secondary that can be had if you can hit the throws. Auburn has been less turnover-prone, they don’t have a QB that can match Sellers’ size, and they are stronger at RB but otherwise the two teams are strikingly similar. I would argue that the environment we faced in Columbia is comparable as well, perhaps not quite as raucous but not too far off. Stadiums are similar size and orientation.

I’m not sure if that has any bearing on this game, but I wouldn’t be shocked with a similar game flow & outcome.
