Style points don't matter here. All Alabama has to do is leave the stadium with one more point than the team on the other side, and it'll be off to Atlanta.

Auburn is 1-6 in the SEC, but five of those losses were by one score, two were in overtime, and the only loss by double-digits was the 20-10 fight with Georgia.

Alabama has yet to win a game on the road by more than one score.

This will be another one of those battles when Auburn appears to have the right mix of things happening on the right day, and then comes the gut punch.

It won't be Jalen Milroe to Isaiah Bond, but it won't be terribly far off.

Alabama vs Auburn Prediction: Can the Tide Finish the Job?

I’ll take it!

If ever there is a time for the stone cold killer to come out, it would be this game.

Hopefully Auburn is ingesting the large doses of rat poison they're being served up this week

Despite having no coach and a bit of a QB controversy, they're only a 5 point dog and a trendy pick to win this game, seems like the whole Bama playing tight in JHS narrative has caught on like wildfire nationally, us not playing our A game since Tennessee plays a part too.

That said, yes this game shouldn't be close, I hope they can kill that "JHS voodoo" narrative for good.

Unless we get a defensive score or a short field from a turnover...we will not score more than 24 to 28. We are QB dependent too much and gotten easier to defend.

Auburn will stuff the run game obviously.....they'll also not worry about the deep ball much. We'll have short and intermediate passing for them to clamp down on. We'll have to be sharp in that regard.

If our defense can hold them to 21 or less....we will win. If they get more than 21.....that's when I'll start to worry.

This is the kind of game that a properly-focused Bama team should win by double digits.

Will this Bama team be properly-focused?

That's been the question for the last two seasons.
Nobody this year has beaten them by double digits except UGA. And Auburn's offense is better since then.
I think we win by 3. I wish we could have a game where I'm not nervous until the clock hits zero though.

This whole week feels like the week going into the SEC championship 2021. The media loooooooooved Georgia at the time and the narrative was that Bama's dynasty was over and Kirby was the new King of college football.

We went into Atlanta and stomped them. I have no doubt the media rat poison had a lot to do with it.

Auburn is being fed gobs of it right now to the point where we feel like slight underdogs and I love that. I think not only do we have the talent advantage, we now have the psychological advantage.

I see this game playing out in two possible ways:

1. It's a tough, hard-fought game for 4 quarters and we hold on to win 24-20.

2. We come out focused and sharp, scoring early and often. The outcome is never in question. We win by 3 TDs...and a FIELD GOAL.

I’ll take a 1 point win.

I wonder how they pick predicted scores though.

26 points for us means either 2 TDs and 4 made FG’s (lol) or 4 TDs and 2 missed XPs (he’s not that bad) or 3 TDs and 1 FG (maybe) and 1 safety.

26 is just weird number to predict contextually with our PK situation.

there is no science. its all fluff.
the real game and score will be known this Saturday.
I love how optimistic our fans are, but the refs and penalties will the deciding factor and unfortunately it usually favors the barn in their home! our boys will be tested like no other venue this season. but the great news is that Bama is battle tested like no other team and has was won in Athens, Columbia and even in down sized Missouri. Tallahassee was the loudest stadium I can recalled while watching it on TV. so the hostile environment won't be a shocker.

I think Freeze lost on purpose, wanted his buyout and to play golf and to get out of Auburn. That, plus his health problems with prostate cancer... I'd want to get out of Auburn too. lol.

That's what made him the smartest man in Lee county. Not a very high bar by the way.
