CFN: Tennessee vs Alabama Prediction Game Preview

Tennessee is 5-0 this year when running for over 160 yards, and is 14-0 the last 14 times it hit the mark - it ran for 182 on Bama last year, by the way. It’s 2-3 when since the start of 2022 when it doesn’t.

Sort of like the Arkansas game, Alabama will come out hot, the offensive line will get a push right away, and the team will get up fast.

And, sort of like the Arkansas game, all of a sudden there will be ten minutes left on the clock with the score way too tight.

The Tennessee defensive front will bother Milroe. It won’t be a brick wall, but it will get to him enough to make him hurry a few throws more than he might like. He’ll connect on two big plays to open things up, but he won’t connect on everything like Graham Mertz did in Florida’s victory over the Vols.

It’ll be a blast, there will be plenty of mood and momentum swings, and two big defensive stops will bring out the cigars.

Its kind of a weird game. Because we are pretty similar teams. It's possible we win bigger than this but it would take a unique game script with some turnovers IMO. Or us playing much better on offense than we have seen.

I would love a double digit win, but at this point the main goal is to just get to the bye week with no more losses....Then we get a couple of weeks to regroup and then focus on what is basically a 4 game playoff scenario to close out the regular season, starting with LSU.

I don't know if it will happen at this point or not, but it's still possible for the Oline to get on a hot streak and getting into a groove...if that happens then the entire context around this team and their potential changes in my opinion...
