Im not surprised by this nonsense. In a way we dont deserve it with our pitiful losses to Vandy and Okie. But....our wins BLOW SMU AWAY. It's a double edged sword but with inclusion being the key here they had to put SMU in. The entire format is crap though. Boise St, Arizona St, even Indiana over Alabama and maybe Miami has a small case too is just ridiculous. There is NO WAY this format can survive. The SEC and the B1G own college football and should bring the hammer down on this format. There is no way Boise, Arizona St and Indiana could survive anyone's SEC schedule, NO WAY. This better be a VERY SHORT lived experiment.

BTW....I was looking around last night and saw we had a bunch of new "guests" posting as Bama fans who were obviously Barner's or some other slimy schools fans. Hopefully our Mods took out the trash.

Cheers...

Why do people keep bringing up OOC games? That has nothing to do with Bama’s situation.
Unless we are just really not very good next year then we’ll beat FSU and Wisconsin, but they have dudes that can put wear and tear on our team more than the Cals and Wake Forests of college football. Then you have to play the SEC schedule and it’s the same one as this year but flipped in terms of home and away. That’s going to be a gauntlet. Away games at FSU, SC, UGA, Missouri and Auburn. Home games against Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Tennessee, LSU and Vandy. I’ll take 9-3 against that schedule next year. Maybe Vandy takes a step back next year, but the rest are gonna be tough.

You Milroe haters can say what you want, but I guarantee you he will be picked in the first or second round of the NFL Draft.
He probably will, but Antonio Richardson was also a first rounder. Milroe is better than Richardson ever thought of being.
if he does go pro, the Raiders will draft him. I am 98% sure.

Have you heard of James Franklin? If you have, that’s a pretty bold statement.
Yes, Franklin is probably the biggest tool in coaching, but I saw a lot of their game versus Oregon last night. This looks to be a better than the average Penn State team. They're big, fairly fast, and have a QB that can run and throw. They made it a game with Oregon. I think if they play the same way vs SMU, especially since the game is at home. they will crush the ponies.

This is getting ridiculous. I don't understand why Fans come up with stupid takes like this and even through Milroe is top 5 Qbs for NFL Draft. He will be drafted. Whether he plays for Alabama in the bowl or not, We still support the team as a whole. Let's stop blaming a single player.. This is getting old.
Milore Is the only starter at QB in the last 10 years to not lead the team to the national championship game.

Well, my interest in the playoff just went from "only a little bit of interest" to "no interest at all." Man, they are really making it increasingly d
Here’s a thought. Whatever precedent this committee set is out the window next year. A whole new committee with a whole new idea will be in place next year.
My recommendation: appoint Coach Nick Saban as CFP committee CHAIRMAN FOR NEXT YEAR!

I'm disappointed... but we DID lose 3 games - two being horrendously bad losses. In any other year the playoffs wouldn't even be a glint in our eye. Bottom line: We had control of our destiny and laid an egg in Norman. So be it.
I'm hopeful we use the bowl game to get game practice for whoever is going to be with the team for the 2025 season. IMO the practice and game experience for the 2025 returnees matters more than winning the game.
I also hope Coach takes a good look at the OC play-calling. In Norman, it seemed the preferred play was to run Milroe left, right, and up the middle for 1/2 yard per rush. I suspect (hope?) that wasn't Milroe improvising, but was Milroe trying to run the play that was called.

Onward and upward! Roll Tide!!
Most milroe runs are zone reads where he's supposed to be reading a player and deciding to give or run himself so to some degree it is him calling his own number.
