I think in days gone by, both Democrats and Republicans were accepting money from pro-Israeli lobbies. I think that is less true today than it was 40 years ago when I was in grad school. Part of that is the collapse of the Left in Israel. Israelis today are generally pro-Bibi Right of Center and anti-Bibi right of center.
US Democrats are a little wary of reaching out to right wing Israelis. (Although American Jews do traditionally skew pretty heavily Left, so they are inclined to the Democratic Party in the US.)
