Coaching carousel 2025-26

Yeah, I don't think he leaves either, but the thing is, if he does, then he's who I thought he was anyways. He knew it wasn't gonna be all smooth sailing from the start, and that he was walking into a pressure cooker. If he runs, then he's not the guy anyways. Though it would suck, because there's literally nobody out there I would want, other than Cignetti. But I don't see this as even remotely possible. Bama is the best job in the country. I'm not sure Michigan is even a top 5 job.

I really hope DeBoer doesn't leave, nor do I think he will. Year three has always been very good for us, even Shula and Dubose had successful (for them) year threes, and I think DeBoer has a chance to have a special team next year. But in the unlikely event he does leave, you throw everything you have at Cignetti. I mean a full court press similar to what Moore did with Saban.

DeBoer had the stones to come to Alabama to follow Nick Saban. Now media is pushing the narrative that he is a better fit in the big 2. I don't know. Think this is all fake news to generate some buzz. Meatchicken is going to shoot for the stars and find out their beloved program is not all that.
I just heard Feldman on the Cowherd show. He just said from everything he has heard DeBoer and his family like Tuscaloosa. But, the pressure of winning at Alabama could change that. Losing to OU, Which everyone is saying , could change his opinion as the pressure to win is ratcheted up even more. Michigan could be an off ramp. I will say, Feldman stopped Cowherd when he started talking about NiL and basically saying Bama couldn’t compete. He told Cowherd Bama has a really, really good recruiting class. ( #2 now on 247 composite and all 22 have signed, if you aren’t paying attention)

I think Jedd Fisch is the correct answer for the Michigan job. He was the PGC OC under Harbaugh , he has recruited Michigan before.

BTW, Bryce Underwood has scrubbed Michigan from his social Media . Anyone think we could bring Ty Haywood to Bama ?

Cowherd is such an idiot.

I mean... The Tide is a high stress job... But we have a great organization in place... Recruiting well... The AD is a great dude who is on top of things...

Why leave for a dumpster fire like Michigan where you can't win anymore?
The big 2 is what it is. A good coach can make a ton of money and have a long tenure with really limited stress. On the other hand, SEC coaches are the best of the best. If you are not doing your best coaching job week in and week out then you are going to have a short stay. Our league is the most competitive, with the best players and coaches top to bottom. In that sense, no coach at any top 4-5 jobs in the SEC would ever step down to another league unless the money is really, really good.

Pin headed pencil necks are paid to run their traps based on their "expert opinion" but they have to ratchet off something to stay in the news, right or wrong. There is no respectable journalism anymore just hot takes from dim wits.

unfortunately, that idiot has millions of followers who believe his gibberish.
with social media spouting news every second throughout the day, you can't believe anyone or anything these days without a legit confirmation.
Oh he does, for sure. His opinions are always so wildly incorrect, especially when it comes to college football. But he has an audience. More power to him, I guess.

I think it's funny that everyone keeps trying to say he might leave because Bama is a "high pressure" job. Michigan and Penn State aren't? Penn State just fired a guy that took them to the playoffs last year....
Correct. And most of this so-called "pressure" comes from the fans, which means it's mostly perception. There has been no indication whatsoever that Greg Byrne has ever felt the same way as the loud minority of fans who call for his firing every time we lose a game.

You and I know the pressure is not the same. Until recently, Michigan has been an afterthought in Playoff Era football. Now they act like they dominated CFB the whole time Harbaugh was there.

McElroy needs to take a deep dive into a shallow manure bucket.

You get on that show and say that your Alma mater is the most prestigious job in competitive football and he was chosen to follow the greatest college football coach of all time and he would be a clueless clown to consider that freak show in Ann Arbor, and Kalen DeBoer isn’t a clueless clown.

He does just the opposite.

Why aren’t they talking about Michigan fostering an environment where bosses are sleeping with their subordinates? SOMEONE HAD TO APPROVE THAT PAY RAISE SHE GOT. Everyone in that facility knew what was going on, and nobody said anything. He would still be employed if she hadn’t come forward with evidence and shoved it down their throats.
