It may not be a big deal and I figure if it is RTR91 may comment on it later if some of what Cole is saying is true. There appears to be some sneakyness about information getting out of the football facility when it comes to hiring coaches.

Paraphrasing here but the idea Cole is putting out there is that names not really in contention may be purposely given out by CNS to people and seeing what gets leaked?....I read an article or statement on tider insider that basically said that the majority of names on lists out there are not really being considered although Jones is legit. So there could be something to it. If Suttles has a connection , I would usually take that in confidence as opposed to other sources out there.

Yep. It seems in the information/instant gratification world we live in somebody in the building just can't stand not letting people know what is going on.

He`ll either do that by planting traps ( false info with only certain people ) OR.... He just won`t say much of anything to anybody on the staff.

I understand the background check showed more behaviors which weren't known previously. IDK, but I sort of doubt Freeze was the source for the additional material. Obviously, that wouldn't make him a very good prospect for staff...

I'm happy with Enos as a QB coach if that was the role we were looking to fill. He's done good work with the Allen brothers and doesn't have baggage.

My question is who in the organization provides counsel and support to CNS in all the issues that come into play in handling staffing issues? With all of the constant turnover there has to be a lot of thought going into retention, selection and hiring. In today's world they obviously have to spend a lot more time on thorough background checks.

As I think about the athlete recruiting process and all the associated issues with putting a competitive team on the field I come to believe it is way to much for a head coach to deal with. It is obviously a much larger sports enterprise today than in Coach Bryant's time.

Watching a guy with Chris Weinke's background leave last week it got me to thinking with all of the QB issues Bama has how is it that he was not an important cog in the machine.

I am increasingly troubled that this has become the Achilles heel for CNS and the Alabama program.
