Bryant- Stallings-Saban- Deboer.

Which one of those doesn’t fit? The nice guy Mike Shula crap doesn’t work in Tuscaloosa. Hopefully sooner than later we go after Cignitti. Seems to be the right fit historically. Winning 9-10 games a year at Alabama, with the resources, facilities, etc. isn’t anything special.

I don't think this is fair at all to make a thread comparing coaches from past. This doesn't feel right to do that. This off season is critical and I believe CKD already has plan to make some changes within staff and the roster via transfer portal. But for now, This isn't appropriate thread, to discuss... Now if CKD decides to move on from Alabama at some point in next few years, then it's worthy to have thtis discussion.

I personally am not a KD fan. We git lucky in the South Carolina game. DeBoer is responsible for the whole staff. I dont see us getting any better either. Maybe im wrong but this was embarrassing we even made Fox News geez
It’s the embarrassing losses that will do him in. Alabama can lose, but we must at least be competitive.

I love how people literally attribute value to wins. Literally nothing else matters to those folks - if you don't win them all, or look awesome in every game, you're a bad hire.

None of these folks look at the team the coach inherited, nor the state of modern CFB recruiting, etc. It's literally all about how dominating you are as a HC - if you're not on all the time, you need to go...

I think PSU and LSU fans right now would take a butt whooping in the Rose Bowl and looking forward to the 26 season.

Exactly... Love him or hate him... Moving on from CKD at this point is not going to make our program better with any of the available HC options out there. Hopefully changes are made and problems are fixed, but firing CKD, bringing in a guy who isn't clearly better, and watching our roster and solid recruiting dissolve and then becoming another Auburn or Florida?

First, I agree about him making changes in assistants.
BUT, is he able to make changes to his philosophy to better fit playing against the more physical teams that he is going to face moving forward? Is he willing to get an Oline that can just push people off the ball when needed and get some running backs who can hit a hole and make 4 or 5 yards a carry? If not then any other changes he may make aren't gonna mean squat.

I’m not impressed with KD at all and can’t stand his brand of football even when it works. 3 embarrassing butt whippings in one season is pretty unforgivable. But he’s not going anywhere soooooooo here’s hoping he fires the o line coach and the running back coach and finds a great qb coach. Oh and a new coordinator too. Pittman is free, huff is a te coach with the rams, Deshaun foster is free.
