Imo, if Coach Bryant felt like he was just a part of the university, a member of something bigger than himself, then I'd say that the Saban signs are in poor taste. And honestly, we're a school that won't, not can't but won't, keep a coach and we hired a coach that won't, not can't but won't, stay anywhere for any duration. Just seems foolish to me to act like we worship the man.

And why on earth anyone would want to take a moment in the national spotlight for our program and taint with mention of the Barn, or anyone/anything that isn't 100% University of Alabama is beyond me.

Love it! I am going to use this on the back of my original sign.




I would also like to point out something for those people who have never taken a sign down there before.

They have strict security and policies about what is and is not acceptable signage. Anything talking bad about one of their announcers (I tried it) will be taken up. Anything that has profanity, nudity, or anything else that isn't acceptable for TV will be taken up.

Anything clever will be taken up also. I've seen people with great, clean saying on the front, and then on the back something funny. So while people are checking signs, they look good, and then when the camera turns, the person turned their sign around.... they were escorted out of the crowd by security, never to be seen again.

Just remember that, hope it helps.

Look for the "Proof of Global Warming..." sign from me!!!
