So how does a guy in prison afford a lawyer? If a guy is convicted of killing a man with a family any of his assets should be transferred to the family that lost a provider.

It said he is acting as his own attorney. What really sucks is the family will incur legal costs for this nonsense.

It said he is suing because she said he shouldn't be allowed to serve his sentence in Canada. I did not know this was even an option.

Hooterville, Vir.
Hopefully a judge or jury does what should be done and throw this out. Guy should be dead anyway.
A prisoner in Virginia sued himself a few years back.
He sais:
1. I am a teatotaler.
2. I violated my own civil rights by getting drunk and defacing a tombstone in a cemetery (the offense for which he was in jail at the time of his lawsuit filing.)
3. Thus, I owe myself $1 million for violating my own civil rights.
4. Because I am in jail at the time and thus cannot work, I want Commonwealth of Virginia to pay the bill.
The Commonwealth Judge threw the case out.

The amazing thing is that he could not find a Federal judge stupid enough or crazy enough to take the case and order Virginia to pay up. Maybe he couldn't find such a Federal judge because he wasn't in the Ninth Circuit.

Hopefully, he violates his own right to breathe next time, and bumps his case to a Higher Judge.
