Country superstar Randy Travis is facing a felony charge for allegedly threatening to shoot a state trooper during a DWI arrest in North Texas Tuesday night, police say.

Sources tell NBC 5 that prior to the crash, a call was placed to 911 by a store clerk who reported Travis had walked into a convenience store naked to buy cigarettes. The clerk said there were words exchanged and that Travis left without making a purchase.

Travis, wearing a UT hat and scrubs, was released Wednesday morning after posting bond of $1,500 for the DWI charge and $20,000 for the retaliation charge.

I have been intoxylyzed and gone into convenience stores before, but I always kept some clothes on. :eek2:

Earle, if I remember correctly he went nuts backstage before going on for a morning interview on Fox News that really didn't get a lot of national attention. Then the incident back in February with the alcohol, now this.
