The types of guys that Bamaslammer mentioned in the post right before mine. What "types of guys" do you mean?
IMO, he starts day 1.If 5* Ryan Williams officially comes back, where would he fit in the 3 deep depth chart?
well, it is bad. We've had 5 starters from last year leave, which is pretty tough in and of itself, and there've been massive losses at specific groups so it's left us RAZOR thin in some places. We barely have enough non-freshmen DBs to fill out the depth chart, and that includes a transfer and a guy who was a QB in HS...It's amazing how bad the media & other schools, are making this coaching transition seem like, when in actuality the sky isn't falling & the talent is still in school to make another NC run in Coach Deboer's first year at Bama..
Coach Deboer is putting together a really good coaching staff & something tells me this will still be a really good recruiting coaching staff..Watch n see .
Just saying..
I think that Alabama will wind up with a solid roster of starters in 2024. My concern is depth. With your schedule, depth is going to be critical. The extra bye week will help, but the SEC is a beast and quality depth could decide a number of critical games.well, it is bad. agreed - and I should have stated we barely have enough non-freshman DBs to fill out the starting line up (in dime), much less a 2 deep. Without some transfer ins, pretty much every true freshmen is going to have a slot on the 2 deep somewhere. There will barely be enough dudes to have enough DBs on each roster for the spring game.I think that Alabama will wind up with a solid roster of starters in 2024. My concern is depth. Which position as shown on the chart.IMO, he starts day 1.
All of the above? Probably FL, but goodness is he talented.Which position as shown on the chart.
SE, FL, or WR?
My hope is our offense will perform similarly to CKD's first-year offense at UW and take some pressure off of our defense. Granted, I know the defenses will consistently better that we face but still, for a first year coach and offense the production was impressive.I think the UW transfers will figure heavily into this roster, especially QB and Center whom I expect will be starters. We need some DBs in a serious way. We will hit the portal hard after Spring targeting this group specifically IMHO.
We deserved to be spoiled with the decade we had prior to Reichard.I hope Talty is good for PK. I've been spoiled!

I like it. And I'm with you. He has a QB, Center and WR on offense familiar with what he wants to do. I guarantee those guys are already communicating what to expect and how to roll with this offense right now with the rest of the offensive team as we speak. My hope is our offense will perform similarly to CKD's first-year offense at UW and take some pressure off of our defense.
