Game Thread: Dabo vs Dawgs. ABC

Georgia bout to bust this thing wide open. If Clemson doesn’t answer here, they’re in trouble.

In Georgia's favor, when you're a top program and a lot of guys are drafted early, how does that affect graduation rates. Plus, throw in the portal with all those comings and goings and what does that do. On the other hand, they can't even drive safely in Athens. Who's really worrying if a player graduates or not.
Well I guess yet another reason to detach the football program from the academic side of a university. Just make them employees already and football as their job, no other obligation. After their playing days are over, then what? Like the current crop of “social media influencers “ . What will they do when football, their looks or their schtick doesn’t work anymore? Hold signs at the entrance / exit of the Wal Mart parking lot?

So in 6 quarters , Garrett Riley’s offenses have scored 7 points against Georgia.

I fully expect to see in the not so distant future, multiple stories of these players that were once mini-millionaires, flat broke and lamenting the fact that they didn’t complete their education. The poor me’s will rain down and coaches and AD’s being vilified for their part in the whole scheme.

I agree but he has very little talent to work with.
I don’t think the QB has lived up to his ranking and they definitely don’t possess the WR’s or RB‘s they once had.

Yeah, I guess we can throw the idea of "student athlete" out the window. There was a great commercial not too long ago about how many "student athletes" go pro in something other than the sport they played. It's a very high percentage of athletes. Shoot, even half the guys that do get drafted don't even make the NFL team. How did college football go so crazy, so fast. There's not enough Walmart greeter jobs out there to cover the number of degreeless ex-players that will be out there.

Offensive line play isn’t all that good, either.

Yep and Nick tried to warn them but was called out as selfish with self serving interests for control over players.

When you consider how many athletes who do make the pros end up broke, it's inevitable.
