they need more size, hopefully he'll impress and break into the rotation by mid-season.

He and Jason Richardson just got traded to the Bobcats for Brandan Wright. Wonder what this means for Gerald Wallace...

He'll fit in well with their run and shoot style. If it was a team that actually ran a half court game, he may not have even made the team.

Well...disregard what I just said about the Warriors. Maybe this will give Gerald Wallace a reason to stay (probably not, and I hope he gets on a good team).

Great setup for JD. He will have Omeka and Sean May to play behind and will be given his minutes to learn. They are young and I think it is a great fit. :BigA:

I agree that this is a good fit for the Bobcats and Jermareo. I think he will be able to give a few good minutes a night this year behind Okafor and May. I am very happy for him and for Bama, as it has seemed like forever since we have had a player drafted.

I think I saw last week on ESPN where Gerald Wallace had already opted out of his contract and was a FA.

I am pretty sure that the Bobcats intend on trying to resign him though. He definately deserves a bigger deal. I bet the Kings wish they had held on to him.

I'm not so sure they will. It all depends on the other unrestricted free agents. I doubt the Bobcats go out and try to sign many veterans. If I were them I would lock Gerald up long term.

What do y'all think of the Trade though

Jason Richardson and JD for Brendan Wright

Who got the sweet end of the deal? ESPN obviously thought GS did.

I think it was good for each team. Davidson is very underrated and GS needs youth at a position such as Wright's. The Bobcats do not need it as much and have a solid backup in JD.

JRich is a stud. Charlotte needs his scoring. They've got Okafor & May at PF, so they didn't need another PF. I think Charlotte helped themselves, but they need to resign GW.
