I look forward to tonight being the end of the "Alabama's defense is # 3 in the nation but they haven't faced anybody yet" crowd. After BAMA shuts down the vols, will we be satisfied with the D's effort?

I think Tenersee's best attack would be to run right at BAMA, but I get the feeling they're gonna try to air it out. I think if that happens, BAMA's secondary will have a field day. There's no doubt that the defense is the strength of this BAMA team. This afternoon is their chance to silence all the doubters. Actually, its the whole team's chance. The O-line and Darby/Castille/McClain, leading the SEC in rushing, can step up big time today. We need another great effort from the kicking game.

I'm just ready for the kickoff. This game is bigger for me than the Iron Bowl. Always has been.

Hope you are right

but don't be suprised if this thing goes south. Or worse, north I guess I should say. Tn hasn't been through all we have, but they did cause alot of it.
I don't say this to insult anyone, not a "barner" or "vile", just been watching football since 1978 and know depth plays more part than we might like to believe. We win this game and I'll be very pleased.

Yes, you're right. The loss of 21 scholarships hurts more than most would like to admit. I'm not ignoring that. I realize a BAMA win would be an upset, but I believe its more than possible. We need to force turnovers, and avoid them on offense.
