I read this somewhere years ago and IIRC it was attributed to Adolf Hitler, "A lie is just as good as the truth if people believe it". This applies not only to the current administration but every member of congress. It is a sad commentary that no one in the executive and legislative branch of our government can be trusted.
Agreed. Republican, Democrat, independent, male, female, conservative, liberal, moderate, black, white, Asian, Hispanic, gay, straight....no matter what label they have otherwise, every single one of them is a crook and wholly untrustworthy.
They will say or do anything for money or power.
I'd call them prostitutes, but Mrs. Basket Case says I shouldn't talk about whores that way.
I'll jump out on a limb and say that until the Democratic party as a whole disavows and disassociates itself from the guerilla violence coming from the fringes, they will have a very difficult time winning any election outside of solid blue voting districts.
Agreed.
The narrative from mainstram (read: liberal) media and democratic leadership has been, "Well, they shouldn't do that. But Trump is so bad, you can kind of understand it."
The general public is calling BS on this kind of message. And because so many Democratic voters live in bubbles wherein they're the overwhelming majority, and therefore hear essentially no credible dissent, they honestly don't understand just how out of touch they are.
The Democratic leadership has managed to alienate a former core constituency...the blue collar white man and woman. They keep telling half the population that they're stupid, bigoted, and beneath contempt, and don't understand why the objects of ridicule don't like it.
It's like they truly believe they can insult people into supporting their way of thinking.
Totally tone deaf.
